LCSW Psychotherapist

Metro Psychotherapy & Counseling is an insurance-based group private practice that provides psychotherapy to young adults, adults, and couples. We work with many communities, groups and populations. We are currently seeking a LCSW with a proven track record of expertise in working with adults in a private practice setting. Experiences and knowledge with adult ADHD is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess an unconditional desire to grow clinically and who share skills and tools with a community of passionate therapists. We are also looking for candidate with strong cultural competence, sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within diverse communities.

We pride ourselves in not just on a creating safe and prosperous space for our clients, but for our staff as well. All of our psychotherapist positions start out fee-for-service with an opportunity to transition to full-time if desired. The ability to work in person one day a week is a plus in our Bethpage office. When working virtual, you choose the time and days you want to work!

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide intake assessments and administer psychotherapy to individuals and couples(if desired).
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation in accordance with insurance and practice expectations.
• Schedule appointments with patients.
• Participate in weekly team meetings.
• Perform a variety of other job-related responsibilities as requested.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Active NYS LCSW
• Familiarity with various theoretical approaches, such as ACT and CBT.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience in psychiatric assessment and diagnosis.
• Ability to maintain clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
• Reliable computer and internet service and appropriate remote work environment to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
