Position: Remote Part-Time Independently Licensed Psychotherapist

Practical Online Therapy is seeking remote, part-time Independently Licensed Psychotherapists (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) to provide psychotherapy to high functioning, low-risk individuals, couples, and families. This will be a contractor position.

• Handling of intake paperwork, grievances, and client/ insurance documentation/ audit requests.
• Marketing, new client leads, scheduling, invoice generation, billing, & insurance credentialing.
• Individual & peer supervision meetings

Responsibilities:

• Provide intake assessments
• Diagnose clients using the most up-to-date DSM diagnostic criteria
• Provide evidence-based therapy to clients. Provide services within the specified amount of time that the client or insurance is paying for
• Complete treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and discharge summaries as necessary
• Document and lock session notes in the electronic health record system (SimplePractice) within specified timeframes. Adhere to minimum documentation requirements as specified in the contract
• Maintain appointment availability updated in the EHR
• Provide complimentary video consultations, up to 15 minutes, for prospective clients

Clinician Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Individual NPI number
• Maintenance of professional licensure in good standing in at least one state
• Maintenance of unexpired liability insurance
• Adherence to HIPAA law
• Ability to present oneself as a caring professional during all interactions with clients and prospective clients
• Licensed or willing to obtain licensure in both NY & NJ, and virtual license in FL
• Be employed or contracted by another group practice or facility
• Minimum of 2 references (at least one professional)

Physical and Technical Requirements:

• High quality headshot that meets the requirements, and permission to use it for marketing purposes
• Private, uninterrupted and professional therapeutic space (“virtual office”) to conduct sessions
• Password-protected computer that is able to handle video calls effectively
• High quality microphone and camera for video calls
• High quality, reliable internet connection through ethernet cable

• For at least the first few months to a year of your contract, are you willing to meet on a weekly basis with a supervisor for quality assurance purposes? These meetings are unpaid.
