The Opportunity…
  • Represent GRID’s Clean Mobility programs at in-person and online community events, presentations, and public workshops
  • Implement outreach strategies and facilitate community engagement focusing on capacity-building efforts for California's priority populations to further increase access to clean transportation and awareness of Clean Mobility equity opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop a pipeline of Clean Mobility leads at different readiness levels in support of incentive project funding cycles
  • Collaborate closely with GRID’s regional offices outreach staff in the delivery of program education and outreach in California and to identify potential program participants
  • Coordinate activities and communications with stakeholders, take meeting minutes, deliver presentation content
  • Other tasks and projects within the GRID Alternatives Program Administration team, as determined collaboratively with the Sr. Program Manager
  • Actively participate in the organization's equity, inclusion, and diversity work, and collaborate with the Programs Administration and Clean Mobility team to identify and implement new ways that our team can operationalize equity and justice in our daily work

What you need to bring to this role…​
  • Demonstrated commitment to GRID’s mission and the communities we serve
  • Ability to identify and communicate connections between program offerings with existing priorities and needs in frontline communities
  • Prior professional experience working with community-based organizations
  • Knowledge of California’s different communities, with a focus on disadvantaged and low-income communities as defined under SB 535 and AB 1550
  • Strong organizational and computer productivity skills
  • Strong professional communication skills, and the ability to represent GRID Alternatives and our partners professionally to a broad range of partners and stakeholders throughout California
  • Fast learner, problem-solver, comfortable with fast-moving, rapidly changing work environment
  • Strong professional competency around equity, and demonstrated ability to apply that competency with colleagues, partners, and within community
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Word and PowerPoint) as well as Google Suite applications (particularly Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets)

It would be great if you also had…
  • Bilingual language skills with ability to translate documents and act as an interpreter in community based events
  • Strong customer/client service and outreach experience
  • Long standing relationships with community-based organizations in California

Where you will sit and the places you may go…
This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($19-$33), plus the benefits below.
