Hours: Tuesday- Saturday 40 hours
General Summary: Under the direction of the Director/Curator, the position coordinates educational programs for the community and public, including field trips, tours, lectures, and other educational programs.
Relevant Experience Or Requirements: Develops partnerships with schools and other organizations to offer curriculum-based programs related to the Museum and Barona History. Follows Barona’s professional standards in all education programming. Performs a variety of administrative duties including planning, organizing, implementing educational programs for tribal members and public. Coordinates and conduct tours and outreaches. Contacts instructors, assist Director with Library and Culture classes for Barona Indian Charter School. Coordinates Language program for community, work with community youth and other volunteers. Assist with grant administration. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in History or Museum Studies (preferred), 1-3 years of museum experience. Any equivalent combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered when filling the position.
