Your Day-to-Day:
Responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts in Components & Equipment, Mechanical Systems, Materials Engineering, Testing & Materials, Licensing, NTR Engineering, Technical Integration and Configuration, eVinci Systems, Modeling & Simulation, GOS - GES, GIC, D&I teams, and external stakeholders to support eVinci™ microreactor operations design, development, and implementation, including plans, procedures, training program content, Simulator, Human Factors Engineering (HFE), Maintenance, and Work Safety.
- Collaborate directly with internal, cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team of experts responsible for development, design, and implementation of the eVinci™ microreactor operations program, including HFE, Simulator, and all applicable design-based content for eVinci Nuclear Test Reactor (NTR), and commercial eVinci reactor (EVR) startup, normal operation, maintenance, and accident conditions plans, procedures, and training.
- Forecast, track, deliver and implement approved training program (NTR, Simulator, and EVR) content, including identification of risk areas, development of mitigation strategies, and incorporation of performance evaluation measures to ensure overall program meets safety, quality, schedule, and fiscal objectives.
- Serve as a trusted operations and training program subject-matter expert for development and implementation of plans, procedures, and associated training content, certification as eVinci™ microreactor operator, and delivery of training as a qualified eVinci™ microreactor operations instructor.
- Coordinate scheduling of initial eVinci™ microreactor operator training in collaboration with regulatory entities and external project partners to ensure training program compliance, successful delivery, and maximum benefit to customers..
- Provide eVinci Operations & Training support in research and development (R&D), commercialization, and business development for eVinci™ microreactor technology.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technically related discipline. Equivalent combination of degree with relevant experience will be considered.
- The following certifications are preferred but not required (in order of relevance):
- Procedure Professional Association (PPA)
- Nuclear Instructor Certification (e.g., INPO)
- Senior Reactor Operator (SRO)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
- Project Management (PMP)
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- Minimum 8 years applicable experience. 10+ years of experience in nuclear construction, startup, and/or operations, preferably in maintenance, engineering, project/program management or similar discipline with experience interfacing with multi-disciplinary functional areas and progressive career
- Experience in design, engineering, and research development is a plus. Specifically, experience with modeling & simulation, code development or use, software, I&C or programming is a plus.
- Nuclear operations background with experience interfacing and collaborating with cross-functional areas.
- Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives and understanding of impact to execution in disciplines including engineering, plans/procedure/training program development and implementation, design acceptance, commercialization, manufacturing, construction, testing and inspections, maintenance and modifications, and quality program implementation.
- Familiar with nuclear industry procedures development in disciplines including engineering, operations, maintenance (e.g., Electrical, I&C, Mechanical), and modifications.
- Familiar with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) for nuclear personnel, including standard industry processes, methodology, and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and work with team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned with minimal guidance from leaders and mentors.
