Job Description:
The Inbound/Outbound Operations Coordinator will be responsible for performing functions within Supply Chain Operations team at our Distribution Center in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. This role will perform inventory management tasks, inbound and outbound analysis and provide ongoing support to our facility and work as a subject matter expert through order processing and fulfillment via SAP. This role will also be responsible for managing and distributing work to execute an even freight flow from picking, loading, and receiving to meet our critical time goals and all customer orders are completed daily. The Inbound/Outbound Operations Coordinator will also need to effectively pull correct resources to fix issues and will work closely with our Distribution Center Frontline and site Leadership teams. This role works onsite Monday through Friday 1st shift (7:00 am through 3:30 pm ET) at our facility in Hazelton, Pennsylvania and is eligible for overtime.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates daily operations in the form of assigning the workload via our SAP Warehouse Management System for all inventory, inbound and outbound functions (i.e., Picking, Loading, and Receiving); All workload will be handed out by scheduled appointment and priority.
  • Utilizes yard management systems to arrange trailer moves to and from the dock.
  • Aligns trailers to appropriate door for shipping/receiving.
  • Performs periodic audits on but not limited to PINC, bill of lading /BOL, ICC and Quality. Assure compliance when filing BOL’s at end of shift/day.
  • Communicates vertically and laterally on all matters to the daily workload will be important for daily attainment of business objective in both verbal and written form as required.
  • Resolves flow issue(s) and problems raised by frontline employees are effectively and timely addressed to ensure continuation of facility operations and downtime is minimized.
  • Compiles daily reports on workload status and past due carriers for outbound appointments.
  • Ensures flow procedures are followed appropriately by frontline employees, internal and external sources.
  • Supports operational initiatives and various projects that lead to decisions/strategies (i.e., People, Quality, Service, leading towards lowering total delivered costs, and NCE).
  • Supports facility and department guidelines, processes and SOPs balancing both business needs and frontline employee needs.
  • Attends all mandatory training sessions held throughout the year.
  • Supports inventory control (i.e., Inbound/Outbound, Order Maintenance, General Questions, FIFO, etc.).
  • Supports fill rates (i.e., order packet management, pending/hold management, pre-pick) to ship 100% to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Ensures site security by answering front gate calls after hours.
  • Performs additional duties and tasks as assigned by direct Manager.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience working in a Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, teamwork and stakeholder management skills (ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities based upon the needs of the team and the business and must be detail oriented.
  • Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of urgency and commitment to resolve transaction errors and do so with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be agile and manage/deal with constant ongoing systems and process changes.
  • Experience working within a Logistics Operations environment highly preferred.
  • Experience working with labor planning and assets (i.e., forklifts, sit-downs, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (EWM) and SAP is preferred.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 5% based on the needs of the team and the business.
