Job Salary: $57,000-$74,000

What You Will Do?

• Plans and directs a wide scope of programs, with the MAC, emphasizing the 8 Dimensions of Wellness: Spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, health, physical and environmental with the intent of including all residents in some area of activity. Programs based on monthly thematic calendar planning.
• Manages transportation, and its associated staff, to city, county and statewide events and programs for our Independent Living residents.
• interviews and acts as the Marquette liaison for entertainment/educational contract personnel for resident functions and activities. Reviews, negotiates, and approves contracts/agreements stated above for external/contracted personnel.
• Maintains appropriate records pertaining to the department budget. Monitors and controls cost expenditures, providing justifications/explanations for variances as appropriate.
• Conducts an orientation for all new residents, and interacts with Marketing Department, Newcomers Club and Welcome Committee to insure smooth transition to the community.
• Serves as a resource person for new residents. Assures that all necessary forms are prepared, and informational pamphlets are distributed.

Qualifications-

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications and/or other related recreational and aging subjects.
• Three (3) years’ experience in geriatrics, recreation program planning or social administration preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft suite experience is required to perform the essential duties of this job.
