TMA is looking for an experienced strong analytical Payroll Manager to join our finance team in Dallas, TX (hybrid). You will manage the processing and reporting of U.S. based payroll for approximately 500+ salary and hourly employees across multiple states. Provide consistency across the organization with pay practices and compliance of company policies while adhering to federal and state laws. (e.g. minimum wage updates). Ensure payments, reporting and reconciliations are prepared and distributed timely and accurately.
- Manage day-to-day activities to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately on a semi-monthly basis for salary and hourly employees across multiple states
- Review Hires, Terminations, and Changes in HRIS (Reach) to ensure data is accurately interfaced to Payroll system (ADP)
- Calculate pro-rated salary for Hires and Terminations
- Calculate vacation payout for Terminations as required by state
- Perform semi-monthly reconciliation of payroll earnings
- Review and approve semi-monthly payroll for ADP transmission
- Prepare monthly/quarterly payroll reports including Earnings, Severance, 401k, Vacation Liability, Wages by State, Workers Comp
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by Leadership
- Partner with Omnicom Corporate Payroll to stay apprised of and implement payroll-related policies and practices; Participate in bi-weekly calls
- Provide HR and Finance with updates in pay policies, codes, practices, and federal or state laws
- Respond to all payroll-related inquiries from employees and government agencies
- Partner with Finance and HR for internal and external audits
- Review and approve all year-end activities to ensure accurate and timely distribution of W-2 statements and annual wage reports
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years payroll processing experience managing all activities in multi-state environment
- Solid knowledge of payroll procedures including state and federal payroll law
- Advanced experience with Excel including large worksheets, lookup, and pivot tables
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams, and Box
- ADP Enterprise experience is a plus
- High degree of confidentiality, discretion, and mature judgement
