Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a part-time experienced and detail-oriented Global Payroll Manager to oversee and manage our clients’ payroll operations across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements on a global scale but predominantly with US payroll. They will be responsible for overseeing the payroll vendors as well as streamlining and overseeing the payroll processes while maintaining compliance with relevant laws.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all clients.
  • Coordinate with clients and payroll vendors to gather and validate payroll data prior to processing.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in each country where the clients operate.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and ensure that payroll processes are adjusted accordingly to maintain compliance.
  • Lead and develop a team of payroll vendors providing training of payroll vendors and support as needed.
  • Manage relationships with payroll service providers and vendors, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Provide support and expertise on payroll-related matters.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to payroll process improvements, system enhancements, or expansion into new countries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Global Payroll management.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll law and processes.
  • Experience with payroll software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual in Chinese a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems.
