Overview:
The Payroll and Office Manager has the overall responsibility of supporting Company operations by maintaining office systems and supplies, payroll, and human resources.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of company records (including but not limited to production, sales and accounting records)
· Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
· Responsible for all reporting to state and federal agencies (i.e. State Sales Tax, U.S. Dept. of Labor, etc) as well as management through daily performance reports
· Responsible for ordering all office, maintenance, production, and safety supplies
· Oversees the invoicing process for production and freight, prepares Storage & Handling invoices at month-end, and serves as point of contact for any inquiries and/or disputes regarding charges
· Functions as the Payroll and Human Resources Department in coordination with Professional Employer Organization (PEO) service. Responsible for processing applications for employment, new hire set up in time system, process weekly payroll, manage employee benefits, drug testing, workers compensation claims. When/where necessary, liaison for PEO
· Audits timeclock hours on a daily basis - Responsible for accurate reporting of Payroll hours and timeclock functionality
· Resolves pay issues with employees or through supervisors
· Works with managers and supervisors in disciplinary actions as outlined in our handbook
· Liaison for IT and telecom providers as necessary
· Tracks attendance and agendas for all safety meetings
· Maintains driver files, including annual MVR’s
· Assists Accounting Dept with past due A/R collections
· Other duties as required
Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
· Bilingual – English and Spanish
· Ability to effectively manage and communicate in a professional manner
· Ability to interact with vendors, customers, and Andes personnel
· Excellent organizational skills
· MS Office, 10-key, multi-line phone system, filing
· 2+ years Payroll and human resources experience;
· High school diploma plus some college
· Computer experience required; ability and desire to learn specific software used
