What you will be doing:
Benefits:
- Primary contact for third-party benefit vendors and integration services.
- Supervise vendors and carriers; manage escalated benefits eligibility issues
- Annual Enrollment project manager (oversee all communications, ensure UKG accuracy, assist broker with obtaining census for rate marketing)
- Implement and administer plans
- Complete benefits analysis for transitions
- Review and analyze changes to federal and state benefits laws and implement changes as needed (communications, reports, eligibility, UKG, etc.)
- Provide guidance and interpretation of Benefits policies and processes to property P&C.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations as it relates to benefits administration.
- Oversee the updates to associate benefits open enrollment instructions in UKG
- Complete benefits analysis for transitions and ensure compliance with benefits tasks for dispositions
- Complete the bi-annual measurement period for benefits eligibility
- Delivers the corporate benefits orientation presentation to new associates
401(k):
- Manage day to day activities of retirement and executive retirement investment programs (including 401(k) plans, supplemental executive retirement plans, and defined contribution plans).
- First point of contact for: HUB (advisory services), TRP
- Assist payroll with Funding reconciliation.
- Complete Discrimination testing.
Compliance:
- Prepare reports to ensure compliance of Benefits programs such as regulatory filings, Form 5500 filings, 401(k) discrimination testing, PPACA filings, consolidated appropriations act, and HCE analysis of Benefits (top heavy).
- Follow-up with ERISA pro to ensure preparation of and mailing of benefit plan documentation and amendments including summary plan descriptions, summary annual reports.
- Complete ACA reporting (federal & state)

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in Human Resources/People & Culture
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with benefits strategy, plan administration
- Experience with UKG
- Knowledge of Benefits laws, regulations and compliance
The ideal candidate would be located in the Northern VA area, and able to commute to our corporate office in Fairfax, VA. We would consider remote work for the right candidate.
