Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee information
- Generate and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Experience:
- Proficient in using Paychex or similar payroll software
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including data entry, timesheet collection, job costing, and Electrical Union classifications
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management
Note: Experience with 10-key typing, accounts payable, and general accounting principles is a plus.
