Billing/Payroll Clerk

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Clerk to join our team. As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing process, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and payroll management.

We are a trucking company - we need someone to invoice the customers as soon as the load has been delivered keep track of receveiables and do driver's payroll

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process invoices for customers accurately and in a timely manner

- Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness

- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments

- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

- Assist with payroll management, including processing timesheets and calculating wages

- Manage accounts payable by reviewing and processing vendor invoices

- Assist with tax preparation and reporting as needed

- Support benefits administration by maintaining employee records in HRIS

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred

- Proven experience as a Billing Clerk or similar role

- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices

- Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping and debits/credits

- Familiarity with payroll management systems and HRIS software

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
