SUMMARY
Compiles and maintains payroll records and ensures adherence to the dealership's personnel policies and procedures by performing the following duties.
We are looking for a part-time payroll assistant. The majority of the time worked will be between the 29th and the 4th for the first monthly payroll and between the 14th and 19th for the second monthly payroll.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES STRONG EXCEL SKILLS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review employee time sheets and work with employees and managers to correct, as necessary.
- Work with HR manager to prepare an accurate payroll twice a month.
- Perform general clerical responsibilities, such as filing, processing and respond to employee inquiries.
- Assist with HR projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School graduate with college Accounting and/or Payroll classes/degree from a two or four year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Strong familiarity with creating and editing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel documents is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stretch, reach, bend, twist, turn, handle and stoop. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
