We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll and HR Assistant. As a Payroll and HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Payroll and Human Resources functions. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and assisting in various HR-related tasks. This position offers exposure to both Payroll and HR activities, providing a well-rounded experience for career development.
Shift: Monday - Friday, with some weekend availability based on the needs of business
Salary: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and verifying timesheets which include fixing errors and distributing checks
• Entering employee information and payroll data into the system
• Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll
• Assisting with processing new employees and terminations
• Issuing and delivering paychecks to employees.
• Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies
• Maintaining and updating payroll records
• Preparing periodic payroll reports
• Ability to work independently or as a group in a time-sensitive environment
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations/records with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
• Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines
• Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails
• Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leaves
• Assist HR Manager in policy formulation
• Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
• Provide support to the HR department
• Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment
• Perform other duties as assigned
