Pilatus is hiring a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for all payroll-related processing activities and maintaining appropriate records to support all payroll transactions including salary changes, deduction changes, and name and address changes. - Updates payroll records by reviewing and processing changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid-time not worked, and checking earned vacation and sick leave records
- Prepares monthly and on-demand payroll through third-party payroll vendor by verifying time records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers
- Balances payroll accounts by auditing information and identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Determines payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information, 401(k) transfer and direct deposits, wage assignments and garnishments
- Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms and adjusting payroll records
- Assists employees or managers with questions about payroll policies and pay discrepancies
- Ensures the accuracy of benefits enrollments and changes to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information and assists with benefit reporting and billing including reconciliation of monthly invoices
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts
- Assists with leave requests including FMLA, CO FAMLI, and long-term disability, and accommodation request under the ADA
- Coordinates workers' compensation claims reporting, records work injuries for Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) reporting, and generates annual OSHA 300 and OSHA 300A reports
- Tracks tuition reimbursement benefits and maintains records of completed training courses
- Assists with year-end audits including the 401(k) employee retirement plan and workers compensation
- Compiles salary and personnel statistics for compensation reporting, surveys, affirmative action plan, and other ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Assists in organizing employee activities and events and performs other related duties as assigned
- Improves payroll job knowledge by attending training sessions; reading technical publications
- Associate's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of training/experience
- Solid working knowledge of payroll best practices and experience with Paylocity or similar software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)

- 11 paid holidays a year, plus 15 days of paid vacation time, and 6 days of paid sick/personal time to start with an increase to 20 days of paid vacation time after 5 years with Pilatus
