Position:
The Payroll Analyst will contribute to the administration, processing, and maintenance of Rockefeller Capital Management’s payroll program. The primary focus of the role will be to support the end-to-end process related to the firm’s payroll activities, which includes data validation, timesheet management, and tax registration. As a member of the Human Capital team, the individual will work closely with other team members and cross-functional partners to ensure that the firm’s payroll program is administered accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Support payroll processing for weekly and semi-monthly pay groups, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and validate accurate records of employee information, including pay rates, deductions, and timesheets.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide timely resolution.
- Prepare and file payroll-related reports as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other Human Capital team members to ensure seamless integration of payroll with other systems.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage timesheet processing, including setting up schedules for non-exempt employees, creating and updating timesheet codes, and training employees and managers on timesheet guidelines.
- Coordinate payroll-related tax notices, registrations, filings, and reporting across all applicable states and localities, in partnership with our payroll provider.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in payroll processing preferred.
Skills:
- Experience with the administration of payroll operations with a background in HR and Payroll systems; Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred
- Knowledge of multi-state and local taxes preferred
- Extremely high attention to detail with superior analytical acumen
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel
Compensation Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
