We are currently seeking a talented Payroll Specialist to join our growing Team. This is a hybrid role but can be primarily remote can be located in NYC, Miami or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Processes new employees into Rippling, manages payroll system.
- Thoroughly reviews timesheets from multiple systems and pay rates for any discrepancies, and fixes any errors to ensure accuracy.
- Assists managers in tracking OT.
- Is available to assist employees with general payroll questions.
- Processes off-cycle payrolls when necessary / overnights final pay checks as needed.
- Handles all aspects of payroll processing for team members, to include separations, manual checks, garnishments, benefits deductions and child support.
- Compiles payroll data and reports upon request and from time-to-time.
- Performs payroll audits to ensure withholding, pay, and general compliance.
- Uploads appropriate documents into payroll system.
- Communicates important information effectively with HR, managers, and employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required
- Certification in Payroll or Accounting preferred
- 5+ years California payroll experience.
- Experience with Rippling and ADP preferred
- Experience with payroll system implementation a plus.
- Proficiency in G-Suite and MS Office, emphasis on Excel
