Payroll Analyst
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000
Position Summary
The Payroll Analyst will report directly to the Payroll Manager. S/he is responsible for assisting with day-to-day surrounding WSFSSH activities to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll, including processing weekly and biweekly payrolls. Specific Duties for the Payroll Analyst include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process multi-company weekly and biweekly payroll and meet established schedule deadlines.
- Verify employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness; communicate with manager any discrepancies, benefits and taxes are consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Review all pertinent information for new hires, rehire, promotions, department/manager changes, and terminations prior to payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide support in researching and resolving ADP payroll-related problems or unexpected results; perform scheduled activities, recommend solutions, manual check, and pay corrections.
- Generate the management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)
- Upload weekly pension, Local 6 union, Transit/FSA benefits files, etc.
- Train new ADP Time & Attendance users on processes and functionality
- Maintain confidentiality regarding whom to discuss sensitive and confidential information and respects the privacy of others
- Prepare weekly payroll journal entry and upload to accounting system
- Maintain payroll allocation system and upload payroll expense allocation entry to accounting system
- Provide Payroll Schedules for contract claim process and financial reporting process
- Assist with cash flow planning and tracking of payroll funds for each program and building
- Assist with reconciliation process of payroll data between ADP system, and accounting system
- Assist with annual year-end audits and government audits
- Perform period audits to ensure that calculations are accurate, including 941 wage and tax reconciliations with federal, state, and local filings and benefits accounts reconciliations.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers, answer payroll related questions
- Perform special projects as assigned by WSFSSH’s Senior Management
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure all payroll compensations are communicated.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/Finance - 2-3 years related work experience
- Preferred Non-profit and/or union experience
- Strong attention to detail as well as solid organization/time management skills
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft (Pivot/VLOOKUP)
- ADP Workforce Now Payroll System required
- Hybrid schedule
Monday- Friday 9am-5pm
