Job Description
Our client, a technology services company, is currently in need of a Payroll Administrator on a contract basis to assist with processing high volume (600-800 employees) multi-state payroll for hourly, salaried, weekly, and biweekly employees in both the U.S. and Canada in UKG software system. Knowledge of both US and Canadian processing required and UKG software experience is strongly preferred! This is a fully remote position. Can be located anywhere in the U.S. Apply TODAY!
Responsibilities:
-Process payroll for hourly, salaried, weekly, and biweekly employees in both the U.S. as well as Canada.
- Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
- Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures
- Reviewing and verifying source documents
- Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll
- Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance
- Prepare for department heads relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
- Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation
- Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential
- Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data
- Maintain all updates of payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Prior experience working with UKG software
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll
- Proven knowledge of Payroll Taxes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Payroll
- Experience with payroll for over 500 employees
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Full Cycle Payroll experience
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Experience with UKG Pro
- Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
