Our client is a brokerage firm. They are looking for a temp to perm Payroll Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Respond to employee and business unit questions
- Process semi-monthly and monthly multi-state payrolls
- Assess data entered by the HR and Benefits teams
- Uphold compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
- Resolve quarterly exceptions in ADP Smart Compliance
- Oversee all tax profiles in ADP Compliance for tax set-ups
- Produce off-cycle payroll checks as needed between cycles
- Run garnishments withholdings, terminations, and releases
- Analyze wage and tax reports to ensure the accuracy of W-2s
- Draft and submit special reports to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar
- 5+ years of Payroll experience
- Able to grasp new concepts quickly
- Experience with data input and review
- Highly organized and able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficient in Excel and Word is required
- Skilled in ADP Smart Compliance and the Oracle HCM Cloud payroll system
