As the Senior Accountant - Payroll you will report directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for completing the payroll of Anderson Center for Autism on a bi-weekly basis. This position is also responsible for making sure that all payroll related liabilities (including to but not limited to: payroll taxes, garnishments, 403B contributions) are recorded in a timely fashion. This position will also be responsible for the completion of all payroll-related workpapers, monthly payroll bank reconciliations, completion of payroll allocations, and FTE reconciliations. A thorough understanding of the OPWDD OCFS, and SED cost manuals will be require to assist in completing the payroll section of the yearly consolidated fiscal reports (CFR).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and oversee the timely process of timesheets for all employees of the agency.
- Prepare payroll journal entries on a bi-weekly basis and enter the accounting software on a timely basis.
- Reconciliation of all payroll withholding general ledger accounts and bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
- Process biweekly reporting and distribute to external parties as needed.
- Provide analytical analysis of overtime for payroll and any other reports as needed by leadership
- Reconcile FTE report and 941 taxes on a quarterly basis:
- Review and approve Personnel Action Forms and monitor the payroll email address for updates and changes.
- Compile FTE report as it pertains to Budget and Cost Reports.
- Update payroll electronic procedures as needed
- Analyze and process ACI additional hours and taxes:
- Analyze and process monthly end allocation and accruals:
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Related experience in payroll preferred.
