Certified Public Accountant-Expert Tax, Quickbooks, Payroll & Data Analysis

The Certified Public Accountant will work to meet the needs of the company in a timely manner. They will exude immaculate organization and prioritization skills as well as top-notch customer service while preparing both simple and complex financial statements, reports and tax returns. The person who fills this role will be a great role model for the other team members to observe and follow.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and professionally to maintain positive relationships internally and externally
• Ensure financial data is recorded timely and reported timely.

• Generate management reports for cash receipts, A/P , A/R, etc. accurately and timely
• Reconcile and report variances general ledger, bank and credit card accounts

• Maintain accurate records electronically and on paper

• Accomplish other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve issues timely
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Two-week turnover for tax preparation jobs.
• Track status of responsibilities in workflow
• Independently update responsibilities in workflow
• Administrative tasks from time to time as needed

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Handles sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
• Performs tasks accurately and efficiently
• Organized with superb attention to details
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure
• Available for a minimum of 8 hours between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm during tax season.
• Outside of tax season, available from Mondays through Thursdays 10 hour workdays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Excellent data entry skills
• Deep understanding of individual tax return

• Bachelors degree required
• Previous CPA Firm Experience preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience required
• 5 years of CPA level public accounting experience required
• Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel
• Basic level proficiency MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• Basic level proficiency of Adobe Acrobat and other online programs
• Ability to effectively and efficiently perform Internet research
• A minimum of 3 years of QuickBooks online and desktop relevant experience REQUIRED with intermediate level proficiency to be demonstrated

Pay: $44.00 - $70.00 per hour
