RECEPTIONIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Private Pediatric Neurology specialty practice seeking to add a part-time medical administrative assistant and receptionist to the office team to work Mondays through Thursdays. This candidate for this position will serve as the administrative assistant and receptionist for one of our Pediatric Neurologists and will commute with them between two office locations. The ideal candidate for this position should be well-spoken, organized, detail-oriented, responsive, helpful, and possess excellent customer service skills, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the simultaneous ability to multi-task/balance multiple work responsibilities while maintaining an appropriate level of productivity.
The candidate for this position will commute between office locations.
RECEPTIONIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets and directs all patients within the practice
- Obtaining, entering, and updating patient demographics and verifying information at each visit.
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages and communicating information between the physician and the patient.
- Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by the patient, etc.
- Prepping charts for daily clinic.
- Schedules any necessary appointments after completion of the patient visit.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the waiting room.
RECEPTIONIST QUALIFICATIONS
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays from 8A to 5P and Wednesdays 9A to6P.
- Previous medical reception experience (1-2 years minimum) required.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Spanish speaking required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
