Part-Time Floral & Event Assistant – Long Island/Hamptons

We are looking to add a passionate, innovative and creative member to the Wisp and Wild team this upcoming 2024 season! As an events collective offering full-service floral design, in-home private dining, and private estate events, we place an emphasis on luxury and white glove service!

You will be responsible for the following:

• Provide pre-event floral prep support, including flower preparation and conditioning, vase/vessel preparation, organizing and packing of all decor items
• Provide pre-event support, including organizing, packing, and loading of all finished floral designs, event supplies, and decor, conducting an inventory check prior to departure
• Provide on-site event support, including unloading items, setting tables and duplicating the lead designer's tablescape setup, assisting with on-site installations, cleaning up of all set-up areas, and loading truck with all of our event tools
• Provide post-event floral support, including cleaning and restoration of all event rentals

Qualifications

• Creative enthusiast with a passion for florals, creative design and decorating
• Someone who loves being involved in creating lasting memories for others and has strong communication skills
• People person and team player
• Local to Long Island with access to a car/transportation to and from events
• Willing to work on an as-needed-basis, including mid-week & weekends, especially during peak season from April - November. Average shifts are 5-10 hours.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes, ladders, crates in excess of 25 pounds
• Ability to travel to/from studio and event locations
• Interest in the hospitality industry and an appetite to learn and grow your creative side!

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Language:
