Overview:
The One Life Project is currently taking applications for our role of Assistant Director of Events to join our team. This is a volunteer, non-paid role within the One Life Project. The National Assistant Director of Events serves under the leadership team with the Division of Development and Philanthropy The director serves at the national level and is part of the Executive Management Office.
About us: The One Life Project is a national nonprofit organization that works to build and create a kinder world where we educate, advocate for, and support teens, college students, and young adults who are struggling with mental health in the hopes of preventing suicide in young people and ending the stigma that surrounds mental health. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and currently have several offices across the United States. We are home to over 3,500 volunteers worldwide.
Duties:
- Develop plans to market and advertise events and fundraisers nationwide
- Oversee all marketing activities on social media and our website pertaining to events
- Coordinates and plans events, functions, and fundraising activities
- Discusses event ideas, planning, and logistics with event venues and partners
- Partners with leaders to ensure our event planning is being completed adequately
This role requires a few hours of work each week and plays a crucial role in our organization, its growth, and our future. Experience is not required.
Requirements:
- Strong love for helping people and supporting people
- Strong knowledge of event planning and marketing development
- Experience in marketing, or a related field (Degree not required)
