- Must be able to communicate in the English language.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in social or recreational programming in a senior living setting preferred.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain, within designated timeframe, certification of Therapeutic Recreational Specialist, if working in long term care.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of USI software preferred.

Here’s what you’re responsible for:
- Engages residents in planning creative community Events and Programs of interest to residents and families.
- Coordinates equipment, materials and volunteers to ensure event success.
- Prepares activity assessments and MDS for each resident, if required by regulations.
- Coordinates volunteers for events. Leads volunteers during events.
- Completes participation records and quarterly progress notes.
- Available to occasionally work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as events dictate.
