Role Description
This is a contract on-site role for a Wedding & Events Assistant. The Wedding & Events Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with event planning and management, including:
- Representation of Kismet brand and values
- Reviewing timelines, schematics, or other important details to prepare for the event(s)
- Provide key assistance to the Lead/Principal Planner
- Assist with the coordination of event details and timelines
- Greeting clients, guests, or attendees
- Assist with set-up of décor elements
- Vendor and venue assistance
- Helping with set details
- Checking in and/or guests/attendees
- Helping keep track of the timeline
- Miscellaneous tasks and errands as they arise
- Ensuring all details are organized and executed flawlessly.
Requirements & Expectations:
- Lives in the immediate area and has weekend/holiday availability
- Education: BA/BS preferred
-A minimum of (2) years’ event management experience or guest relations; well-versed in event management and execution, including client communications, production coordination, maintaining vendor relationships, and food & beverage logistics.
- Passionate about providing excellent client service
- Experience and adherence to structured systems/processes
- Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills
- Proficient with Office/G-Suite/Canva
- Excellent organization skills, time management, and detail-oriented
- Able to work under pressure and remain calm to resolve problems using good judgment
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance & demeanor per the style guide (included in onboarding documents)
- Ability to effectively deal with clients/guests/attendees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and resolve conflicts
- Driver’s License & reliable transportation
Working Conditions
- May be in indoor or outdoor settings, dependent on event location
- Varied weather conditions are expected
- Varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours of business
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods around large venues and continuously perform essential job functions
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds or move light furniture

- When interacting with vendors, clients, and other planners, you are asked to perform planning duties in a professional manner and per our privacy policy.
- Responsive to communication with Kismet Event Co. promptly including work inquiries and event details.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 12 per week
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
