We are seeking a Paralegal with a Trust & Estate background to work out of our Headquarters in Pasadena, CA.
As a Trust and Estates Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. You will work closely with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure the efficient and effective management of our clients' estates and trusts.
Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal procedures to ensure accurate and current information is being used in legal work.
- Assist with the filing of legal documents with courts, administrative agencies, and other relevant authorities. Ensure that all filings meet the appropriate deadlines and requirements.
- Heavy calendaring including maintaining attorneys' calendars of appointments and deadlines as well as reminders
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, answering phone calls, and responding to emails.
- Conduct research to support lawyers in case preparation. This includes finding relevant laws, regulations, legal articles, and precedents to build legal arguments and strategies.
- Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with ethical guidelines and professional standards set by relevant legal associations and jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 6 years of experience primarily in Estate Planning & Trust Administration
- Well-organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly proficient in computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
