As a vital member of our team within RSM’s power of one consultancy, specializing in the Microsoft practice, the One Microsoft Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, ensuring they align with our organization's objectives and exceed our clients' expectations. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a fervent passion for crafting unforgettable experiences and possess a creative touch for event design and implementation.
Essential Duties:
The 1M Event Coordinator is responsible for assisting in coordination of One Microsoft events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand event objectives, themes, and requirements. Prior to each event, the coordinator will collaborate with key stakeholders to establish the event's objectives, strategy, exhibit design, pre- and post-event marketing plans, promotion efforts, and operational meeting schedules.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Timeline Management: Create detailed event timelines and production schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget. In addition, will need to ensure RSM internal Microsoft Events Calendar is always up to date and accurate.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, including invitations, posters, and social media campaigns, to drive attendance and engagement.
- On-Site Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for attendees.
- Attendee Engagement: Implement strategies to enhance attendee engagement and satisfaction, including interactive activities, networking opportunities, and feedback mechanisms.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event, gather feedback from attendees, and identify areas for improvement.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate event logistics, including equipment needed, transportation, accommodations, and signage.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor or Associate Degree – Required
- Professional certification in event planning or hospitality management – Preferred
Technical/Soft Skills:
- Experience working with Microsoft Products including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word – Required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team. – Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate both verbally and written and tact in persuading SMEs to comply with procedural requirements - Required
- Ability to demonstrate sound decision making and organizational skills - Required
- Strong attention to detail – Required
- Operates with a sense of urgency - Required
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once - Required
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at many different levels within the firm – Required

- Experience working with SmartSheets – Preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for events. – Required
- Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to event planning and management. – Preferred
- Ability to prepare presentations including charts, graphics, and tables – Preferred
Experience:
- Previous Event Coordinator (1-2 years) – Preferred
- Relevant Microsoft partnership experience – Preferred

Compensation Range: $64,400 - $115,600
