Job Summary:
The
Group HR Director will be responsible for leading the delivery of all talent management strategies in a multi-geographical environment. The focus of the role will be on employee development, enhancing employee engagement through strong development and retention programs, designing onboarding procedures, implementing HR strategies that support business objectives, forecasting staffing needs, mitigating risk, managing the HRIS system and processes, designing accountability mechanisms, and overseeing overall employment needs.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HR Director with experience working in global or multi-location environments; has outstanding people skills to ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives. Duties for the HR Director will be effectively executed through the lens of Attract, Develop, Retain and also include supervising HR team members. This role reports to the Group Leader and supports 4 Business Units (BUs). Two of these BUs have HR Business Partners assigned to them, reporting to the respective GMs. The Group HR Director will have a dotted line responsibility for these HRBPs. Two of them share an HR Advisor that reports to the Group HR Director. The Group HR Director will also have a Recruiter that will be a direct report.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong business acumen and work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of employment regulations and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. The exceptional HR Director should improve HR processes, implement strategies that support business growth, improve morale and employee retention, enhance safety and wellness, strengthen relations between staff and employers, manage job satisfaction, attract the best recruits, and promote the organization's values.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing human resources strategies and policies.
- Supporting strategic business objectives.
- Create and implement staffing strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

- Own the talent management processes.
- Designing and directing training programs.
Preferred Qualifications, Skill, and Attributes
- Minimum 8 years progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience in both HR operations & administration.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Proven track record of building strong working relationships with business and human resource partners while fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Strong project management skills, coordinating multiple concurrent highly complex and high priority projects with considerable internal and external dependencies.
- Track record of solving large, complex problems and producing measurable results.
- Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain objective while working with sensitive and confidential materials.
- Exposure to HRIS software. Working knowledge of Workday is an asset.
- Ability to use the full capabilities of Excel for data analysis.
- Bachelors degree and Human Resources certification (SHRM) or equivalent;
- Must be willing to travel internationally as required.
