Job description

Homebridge believes that quality care comes from skilled and supported caregivers. As California's largest employer-trainer of caregivers and the State's largest IHSS agency provider, Homebridge operates multiple programs that benefit caregivers and their clients across the State.

In San Francisco, Homebridge provides nearly 1/2 million hours of in-home care to more than 1,000 complexly-diagnosed IHSS MediCAL beneficiaries each year, with a staff of more than 300 caregivers. The agency is also the major provider of training courseware to IHSS Career Pathways, a statewide program for government-funded in-home caregivers.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Talent, you will support our efforts in expanding our team of highly valued Home Care Professionals (HCPs) and administrative staff by owning the pre-hire process and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new employees. You will participate in recruiting strategy and projects to increase departmental efficiency, candidate engagement and retention throughout hiring procedures. Success in this position will come from a strong customer-service attitude, refined organizational skills, and a deep interest in the advancement of underserved populations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, new hires, hiring managers and other stakeholders regarding the onboarding process.
  • Implement innovative ways to onboard new employees and reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and New Hire Orientation, guiding new hires through onboarding requirements.
  • Audit data and set up employee profiles in internal HR systems, assisting with preparation and distribution of new hire documentation.
  • Respond to applicant and new hire inquiries, providing technology and language support as needed.
  • Identify and coordinate appropriate community resources that can assist with barrier removal for new hires.
  • Craft and send communication with information about pre-hire requirements, orientation, and other resources.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring teams and various departments, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist with interview coordination, serving as interview on some; and support hiring teams with administrative duties.
  • Participate in community-based events to raise awareness for Homebridge services and opportunities, targeting underserved and marginalized communities.
  • Other duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least 1 year of experience in high-volume staffing or human resources environment preferred.
  • Ability to work comfortably under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Effective and mature communication skills to engage with a diverse audience.
  • Skilled in time-management: able to manage day-to-day responsibilities along with urgent, time-sensitive needs.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work.
  • Discretion with sensitive information and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, Microsoft Teams, and familiar with Greenhouse and BambooHR.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.

Education and Experience

While candidates holding a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, we also warmly welcome applicants possessing substantial work experience that equates to the educational qualifications. Familiarity with human services and nonprofits is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is hybrid-remote and requires presence in the Bay Area, with regular work from our Market Street office. The standard hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends for recruitment events.

San Francisco Pay Range

$66,560—$69,928 USD
