Overview:
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm (fully onsite)

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Onboarding Specialist who thrives on detail and is dedicated to making every new hire's journey a seamless success story. As our Onboarding Specialist, you'll steer the entire post-job offer employment process. From crafting onboarding schedules to conducting thorough background checks, coordinating Pre-Employment Physicals, and guiding new hires through essential paperwork, you'll ensure that every step is flawlessly executed. Your keen eye for detail will shine as you handle data entry into our PeopleSoft system and navigate employment verification processes in line with both Federal and State regulations. To thrive in this role, you'll need a solid understanding of I-9 procedures and a background in HR practices. But above all, this individual will have an unwavering commitment to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our onboarding process is meticulously attended to. This person must thrive on precision and accuracy, leaving no stone unturned and effortlessly connecting with our newest team members and ensuring they feel valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience as an Onboarding Specialist or in a similar HR role.
  • Experience with HR standard software, such as PeopleSoft.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferably iCIMS.
  • The ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic, a high level of professionalism.
  • A high-level organization and attention to detail is an absolute must.
  • Proven ability to interact with new hires and collaborate closely with the onboarding team, peers, recruiters, and hiring managers to optimize the hiring process.
  • Provide support to new hires, by answering questions and resolving potential issues.
  • Strong teamwork skills.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
  • 5+years of relevant work experience in a coordinator or administrative role.
  • Prefer at least 3 years of previous experience in a high-volume Human Resources office.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of I-9 completion rules and process required.

Education/Licensure/Certification: High school Diploma or equivalent required. Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
