We are recruiting for multiple Office Specialist 2 positions located in Bend.

What you need to qualify
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR;
An associate degree in any field; OR;
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

As an Office Specialist 2, you will:
Provide reception duties and various other office support functions necessary to provide services to the clients of Deschutes County, Jefferson County, Crook County, and outlying areas.
Receive phone calls and route to the appropriate staff.
Provide excellent customer service to the diverse group of people we serve.
Respond to inquiries about specific agency/program information and service.
Answer questions regarding research.
Explain or clarify rules, processes, and procedures to clientele.
Work closely with the main receptionist and teams with workload when necessary.
Participate and engage in diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings.
Actively seek to achieve the ODHS goals of integrity, stewardship, responsibility, respect and professionalism, service equity and innovation.
Actively seek to provide culturally appropriate services where individuals are treated respectfully, compassionately, and effectively in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values the worth of children, individuals, families and communities, protecting and preserving the dignity of each.
Working conditions
Majority of your work will be conducted in the office, but you will also have miscellaneous tasks and duties to complete that are in the community (see bullet point below).
You will have occasional required travel around the community. The purpose of travel will be to purchase items for clients, travel to other district offices for meetings or coverage, and transport state of Oregon vehicles to maintenance and repair appointments.
You will have occasional opportunities for overtime.
You may interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma and exhibit challenges in controlling emotions.
