Receptionist Job Description
We are looking for a day, afternoon & evening Receptionist/Office Assistant who is mainly in charge of the day shift, but flexible to take evening hours evening hours as needed, Monday-Friday, 20-30 hours per week to start with. This position can become a full time position if candidate is fully trained and the skill sets are developed. This position also has plenty opportunities to grow into a billing specialist or an administrative role in the future if specialty is developed during the employment, along with pay increases accordingly.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service; greet clients and visitors with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Answering, forwarding, and screening phone calls in a professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments and update appointment calendars
- Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks, such as helping clients filling out paperwork, copying, filing and maintaining paper or electronic documents and records
- Strictly maintain confidentiality; report to the supervisor regarding to ethical or illegal conduct.
- Basic office janitorial and maintenance responsibilities, such as making clients coffees, dumping trash, vacuuming, cleaning the counters, etc.
- Opening and closing the office.
- Support clinicians, CEO, manager, and other staff in the office by completing assigned tasks within the company policy and job descriptions.
Receptionist Requirements:
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree in related fields are required.
- Bachelor’s Degree, forensics and legal knowledge, and electronic medical record experience strongly preferred
- Efficiency, integrity, and strong organizational skills
- Prior experience as a receptionist, with experiences such as medical scheduling, insurance verification, and preauthorization preferred.
- Daily medical billing; may learn at job
- Professional dress code and manner.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Some knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills required
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
- Sufficient ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making
- Responsibilities as assigned.

Salary: Depending on experiences, competency, expertise, and motivation.
