Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

Experience as a receptionist is required for this part time position.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical office setting. Your primary duties will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out process
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Assist healthcare providers with basic medical procedures as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical assistant training preferred
- Experience working as a medical receptionist
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and phone systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Pay: $14.00 - $16.50 per hour
