Medical Receptionist/Front Desk

Huntington OB/GYN is a 6 physician group specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. This position is full-time Monday-Friday. Our receptionists are the valued face of our practice. We encourage them to be friendly and welcoming while maintaining high standards of professionalism. We have a very high volume of phone calls that must be managed while checking patients in and out and organizing incoming medical records. Receptionists also verify insurance for our patients and correspond via email and our online patient portal frequently. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multitask while staying organized, and have a willingness to go the extra mile. This position has the potential for leadership and promotion for an exceptional, committed candidate.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones with multiple lines
• Directing patient questions to the appropriate provider/department in real time
• Scheduling appointments
• Verifying insurance eligibility
• Entering patient demographic data efficiently and accurately
• Managing patient payments in partnership with the billing office
• Uploading patient medical records accurately

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a medical receptionist
• Previous use of an electronic medical record
• Strong computer skills

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
