Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Manage patient check-in and check-out process
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using computer systems and software such as Eaglesoft, Epic, Dentrix, or similar systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
