Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using electronic scheduling systems
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about services offered

Skills:
- Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred
- Proficient in using office software and electronic medical record systems (NextGen/TSI)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.20 - $23.12 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
