```Overview```
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. If you have experience working in a medical or dental office, possess strong organizational skills, and have a passion for helping others, we would love to hear from you.
```Responsibilities```
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments as needed
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information
- Assist with billing and coding tasks
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Manage patient flow and maintain a clean reception area
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in using phone systems to handle incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, or medical software such as Epic
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals
