Physical Therapy San Pedro is a physical therapy & sports performance center located in San Pedro, CA. We are a privately-owned clinic and we are looking for a cheerful, dedicated and experienced individual to join our team! This individual will serve as the Front Office Manager. Our staff consists of Doctors of Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Aides, and Front Desk Medical Receptionists. We share our center with All Fit Gym and therefore, our center has kickboxing, circuit training, and strength & conditioning classes.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Front Office Manager to oversee our daily operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the center. This includes both clinic & Front Office operations. The ideal candidate has great leadership skills. They must have the ability to train and support the staff in the Front Office, be personable, well-spoken and poised with exceptional phone and front desk etiquette. The candidate should be focused, organized and a multi-tasker who thinks quickly on their feet. They must also be kind and an empathetic listener who is customer service driven. Dependability, punctuality and responsibility are crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Front Office Operations: Oversee and work directly with front desk staff to ensure efficient patient check-in, patient scheduling, insurance verification, claims, insurance authorizations, patient invoicing and collections, answering phones, faxing, emailing, scanning, filing, etc.
- Clinic Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Front Office and back office, including staff scheduling, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep. Maintain and order necessary Front Office and cleaning supplies and equipment for the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within a healthcare or physical therapy setting.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Proficient in using healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least 3 years of experience in Medical Billing Administration, Insurance Verification and Authorization, Claims, Invoicing, account payable/ receivables
- Experience with Private Insurance, Medicare, Workers Compensation
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, dependable, punctual
- Time management skills, computer skills
- Basic understanding of medical/physical therapy terminology is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
