We are looking for a Receptionist with experience in healthcare and should be familiar with electronic medical records, insurance benefits, collecting co-pays, and some medical terminology for an Ophthalmology surgeon.
Requirements Include: Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office REQUIRED
NextGen EMR/EPM preferred Must be available Monday- Friday NO Weekends.

Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting new and existing patients in person & on the phone
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering phones/ relaying & composing electronic messages
- Maintaining patient medical records
- Collecting/posting patient payments
- Communicating with insurance carriers to verify insurance coverage and eligibility along with copays/deductibles and Coinsurance balances
- Verifying all demographic and insurance information and changes as necessary
- Previous experience with electronic scheduling and billing software, ICD-9 and CPT codes desired
