Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing accurate information to patients
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
- Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with utmost professionalism and discretion
- Manage front desk operations, including maintaining a clean and organized reception area
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Experience with medical scheduling software
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external parties
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
