Medical Receptionist

We at Apex Heart and Vascular are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist with exceptional telephone greeting skills. We are a premier cardiovascular institute. We are looking for someone who's a team-player, a go-getter, and flexible.

Ideal candidate should be able to

• Greet and answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

• Greet and attend to patients in person at the front desk for check in and check out
• Professionally assist family members for the patients, other staff members, visitors, vendors and providers.
• Schedule appointments for the patients.
• Able to perform accurate documentation of patient visits and has excellent database (spreadsheet) skills

• Has working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA rules.
• Able to pay meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
• Has excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
• Bilingual: Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
