Objective: To manage operations for two Urgent Care Center locations
Reports to: Managing Director / Medical Director
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Interview and select individuals for front office medical receptionist, medical assistant, x-ray and other positions
- Maintain and adjust work schedules and ensure optimal staffing across functional areas within clinics, approves time-off requests
- Ensures coverage for the office during breaks, meals, and approved/unapproved time off
- Supervise, evaluate, and discipline non-physician staff
- Responsible for completing performance evaluations for all non-physician staff, recommending merit increases and promotions
- Maintains office policies and procedure manuals, recommends updates as needed
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Ensure employees are adequately trained to perform assigned duties safely and correctly.
- Monitor clinic activity and patient flow to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Ensure that medical care is delivered in accordance with physician instructions
- Investigate and resolve patient and staff complaints, referring issues to others as needed
- Ensure compliance with all front and back office procedures, makes recommendations for process changes as needed
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of facility through use of clinic staff and other support staff
- Ensure adequate stock of regular supplies and place orders for needed inventory
- Responsible for maintaining high moral and good relations throughout the office
- Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four year college degree
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in a supervisory role in a Medical Office
- Computer proficiency
- Demonstrated skills in written, verbal and consultative communications
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
- Understanding of revenue cycle management
- Excellent time management skills
