WHAT IS A RECEPTIONIST/ SALES SUPPORT AT APV?
This important role portrays the first experience customers and visitors will have at APV. This role provides administrative support to the project managers and other areas of the company. Another task for this role would be to create social media content. General areas of responsibility are incoming phone calls and general assistance to the reception area and project management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Greet and check in visitors at the Front Desk.
- Answer incoming calls and route calls accordingly.
- Organize incoming Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and facilitate transfer to the company’s shared intranet.
- Continuous monitoring of shared sales email inbox that may contain project-sensitive changes such as updates to bid information.
- Utilize our shared digital database, accounting financial software, job detailing software, and Microsoft Office to assist with various tasks.
- Social Media content creator.

- Effective communication skills that will build and sustain good working relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, with an understanding of when the Operations Manager or other senior leaders need to be involved in decision making.
- Punctual and reliable; can be depended upon to honor commitments and manage/meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills.
- Able to exercise sound judgement, act with integrity and preserve confidentiality.
- Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer service experience.
- Honest and trustworthy, with an ability to be positive and enthusiastic.
MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of Front Desk/Receptionist
- Professional phone skills
- Social Media Savy
- Comfortable with use of technology, with good computer and mobile skills and the ability to embrace and adapt to changes to technology that is critical to how we work.
- Excellent typing skills and data entry
- Good working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening
