The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Communications department. They are responsible for many of the tasks that keep the department moving and have a hand in supporting all roles and job functions within the department. This position is a great way to learn the nuances of a small, but mighty marketing team and get an understanding of the insurance business.
- Email Marketing: Become proficient in our email management system, Constant Contact, to support Team with e-blasts and event communications; maintain customer and agency email contact lists, schedule and format emails in Constant Contact, and archive emails
- Agent Learning Center: Meet regularly with business owners to determine topics for new webinars; assist in creation of 5-10 live and recorded webinars or self-guided learning modules/year and publish the content to our e-learning platform, Blue Sky
- Social Media: Under the guidance of Marketing and Communications Team Manager, create content [Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X)] to support business and branding objectives; participate in bi-weekly calls with PR Agency to brainstorm content; support Marketing & Communications Team Manager with management of social media calendar; community management (promptly respond to questions/complaints and receive legal/business input when necessary); learn how to use our social media listening and publishing tool, Sprinklr
- Become proficient in using Drupal, our Content Management System to conduct website content and agent locator updates and perform web testing during platform upgrades
- Manage internal corporate digital messaging board, Arbella Vision, using our BrightSign digital signage software
- Write content for the company Intranet and the Arbella HUB, to promote companywide initiatives and announcements
- Take photos/videos at employee and company/Foundation-sponsored events to be used on social media, company Intranet, and various internal and external publications
- Serve as point-of-contact for Arbella Service Center in onboarding process for new agents
- Manage the Arbella Corporate Inbox, including triage, resolution tracking, quarterly reporting, and, in conjunction with Legal, participate in annual Corporate Inbox internal compliance audit
- Create/format all executive PowerPoint presentations for agent meetings, board meetings, management meetings, etc.
- Willingness and eagerness to support the department through preparation and participation in in-person agent meetings, holiday parties, and other corporate events: This may include requesting and maintaining invitation lists, creating name tags, organizing materials, coordinating information needed on-hand at events, and attending events (occasionally taking place outside of work hours; must have access to vehicle)
- Manage billing and expenses by creating check requests and paying invoices
- Order office supplies for the department, as well as inventory for our agent online store
- Participate in on and off-site activations and company appearances at partnership events
- Prepare gift checks for Arbella Insurance Foundation donations
- Maintain archive of legal approvals for advertisements/marketing materials/communications in accordance with department’s legal procedures
- Actively participate in weekly public relations calls, in-person department status/traffic meeting, and all other meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications and 2+ years of experience in a marketing-related role
- Basic understanding of brand positioning/strategy, corporate marketing, and online and social media
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Excellent writing skills
- Must be flexible, enthusiastic, and open to and energized by change
- Self-starter who enjoys providing support to a dynamic team
- Must be inquisitive and have a thirst for knowledge
