Loan Processor

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Processor to join our team. As a Loan Processor, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying loan applications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, and preparing loan files for submission to underwriters. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of loan origination processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy - Verify borrower information, including employment, income, credit history, and assets - Calculate debt-to-income ratios and other financial ratios - Prepare loan files for submission to underwriters - Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to gather additional information or clarify discrepancies - Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including TILA and Fair Housing regulations - Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third parties to obtain necessary documentation - Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred - Proven experience as a Loan Processor or similar role in the financial services industry - Strong knowledge of loan origination processes and underwriting guidelines - Familiarity with mortgage servicing software and 10-key typing - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
