Knowledge, Skills and abilities required:
- Must be willing to quickly & efficiently learn loan processing skills.
- Bilingual- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent records and file management skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Gmail and Adobe Professional.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Normal office environment & working conditions.
- Loan processor collects and verifies the borrower(s) personal information and financial records.
- Required for the loan, pulls together and prepares all loan documents that are submitted to the Underwriter/lender of the loan, and keeps the records in order for the financial transaction.
- Acts as a liaison between the borrower(s), bank attorney, borrower’s attorney if applicable, lender and loan originator.
- Provides borrower(s), with timely and periodic status updates of their loan application.
- Updates Mortgage Loan approval and follows up on missing documents.
- Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and/or other documents for recurring internal reports.
- Compiles documents borrower files and enters information into the office data management system.
- Assure that all borrower(s) files are complete and in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies.
- Process the documents received for each file.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of each document.
- Other duties as assigned.
