Job Description
Grayton Mortgage, a boutique mortgage company in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking a detailed-oriented individual to join the company as a Loan Officer Assistant / Loan Processor. This role will allow the individual to work alongside an industry expert and gain insight in all aspects of the mortgage market.
Qualifications:
- 1 + year experience as a Loan Officer, Loan Processor, or Loan Officer Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with loan origination processes and procedures
- General knowledge of loan underwriting parameters
- Ability to set up and run both DU and LP
- Knowledge of loan milestones - from application to closing
- Pipeline management
- Attention to detail and organizational skills is a must
- NMLS licensing preferred
- Bilingual - Mandarin or Spanish would be beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Loan Officers to facilitate the submission, processing, and closing of residential mortgages
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documents prior to submission
- Communication of milestones to various parties involved in the transaction - attorneys, real estate agents, Loan Officers, and clients
- Customer service - provide exceptional service to clients by addressing concerns and providing timely feedback
- Document management - collect and follow up on documents during the loan process. After closing, ensure that documentation is maintained to comply with state and federal regulations.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business or finance is preferred.
